Session #1: QoE und QoS - Gibt es wirklich einen Unterschied?
Microsoft hat mit seinem White Paper zu "Quality of Experience" und mit seiner Beschreibung seiner intelligenten QoE-Applikationen im UC-Bereich für Aufsehen gesorgt.
Die Wichtigste Neuerung betrifft den Codec. An diesem Abend werden Ihnen die speziellen Eigenschaften des Microsoft Codecs vorgestellt und mit den Standardcodecs aus der Industrie verglichen. Microsoft behauptet, durch die Verwendung des neuen Codecs, kein QoS mehr zu benötigen. Dieses Statement wird mit Hörbeispielen untersucht.

OCS Spezialist, Institute for Networked Solutions HSR, Rapperswil Er hat bereits einige Projekte mit OCS realisieren können. An den Microsoft Techdays durfte er ein Referat zum Thema OCS halten. Im Netzwerkbereich bietet das Institute Kurse und Workshops im Bereich QoS an welche auf den Erfahrungen aus Kundenprojekten, 3rd Opinion, basieren.

#2: Managing OCS 2007 R2 with PowerShell
With the RTM of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, PowerShell is now a standard part of the operating system. More and more Microsoft enterprise applications are now delivered with native PowerShell support. Through the use of WMI classes that shipped in the box with the product, OCS administrators should no longer wait on the sideline to exploit this hidden gem to simplify management of their unified communications infrastructure. PowerShell v2.0 will also be discussed (if time permits).
