The Swiss IT Pro User Group (SITPUG):
- is an independent, non-profit organization not affiliated with any commercial entity
- is recognized and endorsed by Microsoft Switzerland (see Microsoft Switzerland TechNet IT Pro newsletter - Swiss Edition Nr. 8/2005: 21. Sep 2005)
- is driven "by IT Pros for IT Pros" with free membership
- is founded by experienced Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCT) to help spearhead technical focus of the user group
- is an alliance member of Culminis with access to a vast array of global technical resources for disposal to registered members at a local level in Switzerland
- is technology focus (Microsoft centric) with an eye for heterogeneous integration and innovation
- encourages and provides a platform for members' growth, participation and contribution (e.g. showcase an article you wrote, share project experience or web links for free* on swissitpro.ch)
- is the only Swiss user group with regional representatives that speak your language**
- SITPUG members come from all over the country and the world (Swiss-German, Swiss-Romande, Swiss-Italian, English)
- has members from diverse sectors and industries (finance, banking, system integration, academics, etc.)
- organizes exciting "meet-and-greet" events on a regular basis (see also Culminis events in a European city near you)
- arranges events that are generally free*** which members would otherwise have to pay to attend elsewhere
- enables networking with other IT Pros peers - in your region and in your local language
- is a great place to network and reason to get away from the computer (and maybe even meet your future employer!)
- has always something new happening at SITPUG events (e.g TechTalk on latest topics, Ausflug or simply meet at a local bar, music, raffles, etc.)
